asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the number of applications outstanding with the Board of Trade Advisory Committee.

There has been a change in the method of recording the receipt of applications in B.O.T.A.C. to reflect the fact that the Committee, in order to speed procedures, are starting their investigation of applications at an earlier stage. The comparable figure for 1st April on the former method would have been 705.
