HC Deb 10 April 1968 vol 762 cc265-6W
70. Mr. Bryant Godman Irvine

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress has been made in his consultations relating to a change of his policy concerning support by his Department for planning applications on agricultural holdings; and if he will make a statement.

72. Sir T. Beamish

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what has been the cause of the four months' delay in announcing a change in his Department's policy towards planning applications involving land used for agricultural and horticultural purposes; and if he will now announce his decision on support for such applications when they are clearly beneficial to the industry.

Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

My Department has had consultations with the industry and the Council on Tribunals, and my right hon. Friend, the Minister of Housing and Local Government, is now consulting the local authority associations. I will make a statement as soon as these consultations are complete.
