HC Deb 10 April 1968 vol 762 c257W
Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered the Scottish Council of the Confederation of British Industry's report on regional development to the Hunt Committee, details of which are in his possession; and what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards this report.

Mr. Ross

Although I have read this memorandum with interest the Government are not at this stage called upon formally to consider it. As part of the C.B.I.'s evidence to the Hunt Committee it will, I am sure, be very carefully taken into account by that Committee which hopes to submit its report to the Government in the autumn.
