HC Deb 10 April 1968 vol 762 cc266-7W
Mr. J. E. B. Hill

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he is taking to ensure that the distribution by road transport of urgently needed agricultural supplies in Norfolk will not be delayed as a result of the limitation on drivers' hours, quantity-licensing and other restrictions, proposed in the Transport Bill.

Mr. John Mackie

My right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport will discuss the special problems of agriculture and horticulture with my right hon. Friend and also with representatives of those industries before the provisions of the Bill likely to affect them are introduced. If the hon. Member is aware of particular difficulties expected to arise in connection with the distribution of agricultural supplies in Norfolk I should be glad to know of them.
