§ Mr. Bryant Godman Irvineasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs what was the result of the official visit to the United Kingdom of the Fiji Minister of Communications, Works and Tourism to discuss the suitability of a hovercraft for Fijian coastal waters.
§ Mr. WhitlockFollowing the visit of the Fiji Minister of Communications, Works and Tourism to this country last October, an investigation into the commercial feasibility of operating hovercraft in Fiji waters was carried out. This showed that it is extremely doubtful whether hovercraft could be operated profitably at present; their commercial potential will, however, be kept under review.
