§ 25. Mr. Lubbockasked the Minister of Social Security if she will introduce legislation allowing the Supplementary Benefits Commission to nominate a limited number of tenants for local authority houses, with a view to reducing the charge on public funds in cases where the recipient is paying a much higher rent than he would in a council house, but because of the general level of rents in the area the whole of the actual rent is reimbursed to the recipient by the Supplementary Benefits Commission.
