§ 67. Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs how many Gibraltarians were born of parents evacuated during the war to Great Britain; whether, under his regulations, they are now entitled to full United Kingdom passports; and, under those regulations, for how many years would their parents have had to have lived in Great Britain in order to obtain such passports.
§ Mr. WhitlockOf the persons whose names appear in the official "Register of Gibraltarians", 482 were born in Great Britain between 1940 and 1949. Having been born here they have a right of entry which does not depend on the kind of passport they hold. The parents' war-time188W residence here does not exempt them from control under the Commonwealth Immigrants Acts and does not, therefore, qualify them to hold a passport other than one isued by the Governor of Gibraltar.
