asked the Minister of Transport how many road accidents have been reported during the year 1967 on the A62 at Saddleworth between the Star Inn and Scouthead Garage; and what were the corresponding figures for 1966.

68 accidents have been reported during 1967: the corresponding figure for 1966 was 80.

30 accidents have been reported during 1967: the corresponding figure for 1966 was 44.

asked the Minister of Transport what is the postponed starting date for work to begin on building a pedestrian subway under the A62 at Slaithwaite.

Work has been delayed since February by difficulties over land, but we now hope to be able to start this month.

asked the Minister of Transport how many road accidents were reported during the year 1967 on the A62 between Linthwaite-Huddersfield boundary and the junction with Varly Road, Slaithwaite; how many persons under the age of 15 were injured; how many persons received fatal injuries; and what were the corresponding figures for the year 1966.

57 accidents were reported during 1967; 5 persons under the age of 15 were injured; and 2 persons received fatal injuries; the corresponding figures for 1966 were 65, 1 and 1 respectively.
