§ Mr. FernyhoughThe quota obligation applies to undertakings as a whole and not to individual establishments within an undertaking. Any undertakings employing less than their statutory quota of registered disabled persons are required146W to notify their labour requirements to the local office of the Ministry and may not engage a fit worker without a permit from the Ministry. My officers bring any suitable disabled persons to their attention when vacancies arise or there seems to be a possibility of suitable employment within the organisation.
