HC Deb 03 April 1968 vol 762 c121W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many county councils in Wales have expressed themselves to be in favour of setting up a Welsh Water Resources Board; and how many county councils have expressed them-r elves to be opposed to the idea.

Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

The Montgomeryshire County Council, which proposed the establishment of a separate Board for Wales, did not ask county councils to tell me their views. But I have received letters from six county councils, including Montgomeryshire, all of which support the idea.
