§ Mr. Swainasked the Minister of Power whether he will now act on the recommendation by the Select Committee on Science and Technology that there should be an independent inquiry into nuclear power costs.
§ Mr. MarshAs I have already pointed out to my hon. Friend on 26th January [Vol. 757, c.199] and to my hon. Friend, the Member for Ince (Mr. McGuire), on 11th December [Vol. 756, c. 57] I know of no "independent" body with a degree of expertise or experience in this field comparable to that of the organisations which took part in the nuclear costs studies made as part of the fuel policy review.
