MallalieuThe Board has approved in principle the introduction of a levy under Section 9 of the Industrial Organisation and Development Act, 1947, to finance scientific research for the hosiery and knitwear industry to be carried out by the Hosiery and Allied Trades Research Association. A draft Order for affirmative Resolution will be laid before both Houses in due course.
