HC Deb 03 April 1968 vol 762 cc85-6W
Mr. Brewis

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the cost of administering the deficiency payment scheme for eggs.

Mr. Hoy

The cost to my Department is about £68,000 per annum. The scheme is administered through the British Egg Marketing Board. The Board's total administrative expenditure in 1966–67 was about £1.8 million but the amount attributable to the administration of the scheme is not separately identifiable.
