44. Mr. Hastings

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will reconsider his decision to include commercial desk and pocket diaries under Group 26a to be taxed at 50 per cent.

Representations have been made by the Diary Publishers' Association on this subject. There will, no doubt, be an opportunity of discussing it in the debates on the Finance Bill.
