§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe present sequence is ab initio training on the Chipmunk, basic training on the Jet Provost, and advanced training on Hunters and Gnats. An improved version of the Jet Provost—the pressurised Mk 5—will enter service in 1969–70 and the Anglo-French Jaguar will supersede the Hunters and Gnats from 1972–73.
