§ Mr. MasonWe have given and will give the Sterling Engineering Company all the assistance practicable but the item which they wished to tender for on this occasion is one which is specifically restricted to U.S. industry. Major Turp was told this before he left for the United484W States. The Consulate General in New York and the Embassy in Washington were informed of his visit and were instructed to give him whatever assistance was possible in the circumstances.
