HC Deb 25 October 1967 vol 751 c480W
50. Mr. Burden

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what steps he will take to ensure that when the uniforms of famous British regiments are used for exhibition purposes abroad they will be worn by members of the regiments concerned.

Mr. Boyden

The only persons who may wear British regimental uniforms at overseas exhibitions are members of the regiments concerned. This is generally understood by the organisers of such exhibitions.

If serving soldiers are not available, uniforms are usually displayed on dummies.
