§ Mr. George ThomsonThroughout this difficult period, we have maintained close relations with the Federal Military Government. We have always held that Nigeria would achieve her greatest potential if she could maintain the unity to which she succeeded on independence. The Government and many other people in this country are profoundly hoping for peace and reconciliation between all the peoples of Nigeria.
