§ Mr. MacCollAs my right hon. Friend told the hon. Member for Hertfordshire, South-West (Mr. Longden) in reply to his Question of 25th July, he thinks we need much more experience of the functioning of the rent registration system before its effects can be fully evaluated. Until then he does not propose to enlarge its scope. My right hon. Friend is concentrating instead on improving the system, in part by redeploying the rent officer organisation to adapt it to the expected load and distribution of work.
