HL Deb 28 November 1967 vol 287 c89WA
LORD MERTHYR

asked Her Majesty's Government.

Whether the Pembrokeshire long-distance route, which was designated in 1953 under Section 52 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, is now complete, in so far as it passes through the Rural District of Pembroke; and, if it is not:—

  1. (a) how many miles of it in which parishes in that District are not open to public use, and
  2. (b) what steps are proposed to be taken to expedite its completion.

BARONESS PHILLIPS

About 3 miles of new path are needed in the parish of Angle, and the County Council are trying to reach agreement with the estate owner. About 2⅔ miles in the parishes of Bosherston and Manorbier are not open to public use, and the National Park Commission are preparing proposals for altering the line of the route.
