§ 72. Mr. Dempseyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will take steps to transfer to local authorities those temporary houses belonging to his Department which have been vacated for the purpose of demolition with a view to preventing vandalism and theft.
§ Mr. MacCollI doubt whether vandalism and theft would be reduced by a change of ownership; but authorities wishing to buy vacated houses at scrap value less site clearance costs may do so.
