§ Mr. Clark Hutchisonasked the Minister of Labour what additional unemployment he calculates will result in the Edinburgh area following the withdrawal of the extra Selective Employment Tax premiums.
§ Mr. HattersleyI would expect any employment effects to be very small. Against them must be set the benefits which employers in the Edinburgh area will be in a position to gain from the opportunities arising from the recent devaluation.
