Campbellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate, for the latest financial year for which figures are available, of the total amount collected in taxation in Scotland and of the total of grants, subsidies and other financial assistance received in Scotland from the Exchequer.
§ Mr. DiamondFurther to my reply to the hon. Member on 9th November, I can now add that total direct and indirect taxation collected in Scotland, so far as it can be separately identified, amounted to about £650 million in 1966–67.—[Vol. 753, c.169–70.]
