§ 65. Mr. Cordleasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress is being made on research into immunotherapy techniques in the treatment of auto-lymphoblastic leukaemia.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsResearch on the use of these techniques in the treatment of malignant diseases, including leukaemia, is in progress at the Institute of Cancer Research, in conjunction with the Royal Marsden Hospital. This method of treatment is still in the experimental stage and until it has been fully evaluated it is not possible to say whether it has any advantages over other accepted methods.
