§ Mr. Martenasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the discussions about Government aids referred to in the communiqué of the ministerial meeting of the European Free Trade Association on 26th October, 1967.
§ Mr. CroslandThe E.F.T.A. Council discussed the project for building aluminium smelters in the United Kingdom. It was agreed to pursue the matter in bilateral discussions between the United Kingdom and Norway with assistance as required from the E.F.T.A. Working Party on Government Aids. There was also a short discussion on investment grants in relation to shipping, and it was agreed that this matter should be kept under review.
