HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 cc324-5W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Labour what information he has of the industrial action undertaken by industrial workers at atomic energy establishments pending an examination of their claims by the National Board for Prices and Incomes; how long the Board have been considering this claim; and when their report is expected.

Mr. Gunter

Industrial action mainly in the form of working to rule has occurred in recent weeks at some United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority establishments, but is at the moment confined to Aldermaston, Dounreay, Harwell, Risley and Winfrith. The Government referred the whole question of pay, conditions of service and productivity of the Authority's industrial employees to the National Board for Prices and Incomes on 17th October, 1967, and have asked the Board to deal with the reference as quickly as possible.
