asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) what is the amount of rate rebate payments made in Seaton Valley Urban District Council, Bedlington Urban District Council and Blyth Borough Council areas;

(2) what is the amount of rate rebate payments applied for in Seaton Valley Urban District Council, Bedlington Urban District Council and Blyth Borough Council areas.

The total amounts of rebate afforded by these authorities in 1966–67 were:

Applicants for rebate are not asked to state the amount applied for. The rebate allowable in each case is determined by the applicant's income, his rate bill and his household circumstances.
