HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 c294W
Mr. Stratton Mills

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will arrange for a survey to be made of the effect of the Finance Act, 1965, which has the effect of making companies raise new money by means of debenture and loan stock to see the extent to which this has kept up interest rates nationally.

Mr. Diamond

No. The effect of changes in taxation are kept under review in the normal course of Government business.
