asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what conditions were attached to the recent loan of £90 million from the Bank of International Settlements.

Mr. Callaghan

The purpose of the loan was to enable us to repay our immediate obligations to the I.M.F. No conditions as to the Government's economic policies were imposed.
