asked the Minister of Technology what was the amount of work carried out, as a percentage of total expenditure, between defence and civilian projects by the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, Aldermaston, during each of the past three years.

The proportion of total expenditure at Atomic Weapons Research Establishment attributable to civil work during the past three years is:—

1964–65 … … 14 per cent.
