HC Deb 20 November 1967 vol 754 c227W
54. Dame Joan Vickers

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware of the statement by the Third Committee of the United Nations that due to lack of time consideration of the draft declaration on the elimination of discrimination against women could not be adequately studied; and if he will give his representative instructions for this matter to be discussed as a matter of high priority.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

I think the hon. Lady's Question has been overtaken by events. The Declaration was adopted unanimously by the General Assembly on 7th November.
