§ Mr. Goronwy RobertsSome arms are being supplied but, as my right hon. Friend told the United Nations General Assembly in June, all the supplying powers have a responsibility to reach agreement on arms limitation as soon as possible.

Mr. Bob Brownasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will propose at the United Nations a settlement of the Middle East in which withdrawal of Israeli forces would take place upon de jure recognition of Israel by all member states, and the guarantee to all member states of full navigational rights through the Suez Canal and the Straits of Tiran, and the signature of a peace treaty guaranteed by all member states to cover the whole area.
§ Mr. George BrownI set out the broad outline of Her Majesty's Government's policy in the Foreign Affairs debate on 2nd November. The crucial question remains, not whether Her Majesty's Government or any other Government should propose at the United Nations a particular solution, or even simply the passing of a resolution in New York, but the achievement of results on the ground in the Middle East.
