Mr. Henig

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of those countries where the British Embassy is not in the administrative capital together with the location of the Embassy in these cases and its distance from the capital.

Mr. Mulley

The British Embassy in Saudi Arabia is located in Jedda, approximately 525 miles from Riyadh; and the British Embassy in Israel is located in Tel Aviv, 30 miles from Jerusalem, which the Government of Israel regards as its administrative capital.
