§ 63. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Transport if she will include in the forthcoming inquiries into recent railway accidents a study of the recommendation on the stress which the recent high speeds of railway trains imposes on the metals and other constituent parts of railway lines, railway engines and 103W coaches and into methods which can be devised to relieve and reduce those stresses and to prevent accidents being caused thereby.
§ Mr. John MorrisThe Chief Inspecting Office of Railways, who will undertake the Inquiry into the recent Hither Green accident, has been asked to take note of the points made by my hon. and learned Friend.
