HC Deb 14 November 1967 vol 754 cc91-2W
Q10. Mr. Maxwell-Hyslop

asked the Prime Minister, if he will publish the contents of the official congratulatory message sent by him to the Russian Government on the 50th Anniversary of the 1917 Russian Revolution.

The Prime Minister

It is the normal practice to leave the publication of such messages to the receiving Government but since I understand that the Soviet Press has now carried a translation of my message, I will circulate the English text in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

The Prime Minister pursuant to his reply to Oral Question No. *Q10 this day circulated the following information:

"On the occasion of your National Day, it gives me great pleasure to send to the Soviet Government and people the cordial greetings of the British Government, and express our sincere good wishes for the happiness and welfare of the people of the Soviet Union, who this year celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Soviet State."
