§ 44. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that two Metropolitan Policemen observed a Ford car No. XHX 74 parked in East Carriage Drive, Hyde Park, with no road fund licence; in view of the fact that it had been in a No Waiting area for five days, why no action was taken to remove this obstruction and to charge the owner; and what action has now been, or will be taken to enforce the law with regard to this and similar incidents being reported daily in London.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsPolice inquiries with a view to proceedings were begun before the car was removed and are continuing. The other points raised in my hon. Friend's Question were dealt with in replies I gave to his Questions yesterday. —[Vol. 753, c. 127–9.]
