HC Deb 09 November 1967 vol 753 c152W
44. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that two Metropolitan Policemen observed a Ford car No. XHX 74 parked in East Carriage Drive, Hyde Park, with no road fund licence; in view of the fact that it had been in a No Waiting area for five days, why no action was taken to remove this obstruction and to charge the owner; and what action has now been, or will be taken to enforce the law with regard to this and similar incidents being reported daily in London.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

Police inquiries with a view to proceedings were begun before the car was removed and are continuing. The other points raised in my hon. Friend's Question were dealt with in replies I gave to his Questions yesterday. —[Vol. 753, c. 127–9.]
