HC Deb 09 November 1967 vol 753 c177W
Mr. Judd

asked the Minister of Overseas Development what will be the form and value of civil aid to compensate for British military withdrawal from the Middle and Far East.

Mr. Prentice

Only preliminary discussions have so far taken place with the Malaysian and Singapore Governments and it is too early to say what form and value aid to them will take.

As far as the Middle East is concerned, I cannot usefully add anything to what my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs said on 2nd November.—[Vol. 753, c. 340–41.]
