§ 58. Mr. Haleasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether, in view of the evidence of urgency submitted by the hon. Member for Oldham, West, he will now approve the Hawkesley Street No. 2 Compulsory Purchase Order, Oldham.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend regrets that he is not yet able to give a decision on this Compulsory Purchase Order. The reason is that further information is needed from the Council in connection with undertakings given by them regarding certain properties. The department has been in correspondence with the Town Clerk and is writing to him again this week. The matter is somewhat complicated and I am writing to my hon. Friend about it.
