§ 85. Mr. Bessellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will introduce legislation prohibiting the export of live ponies for slaughter.
§ Mr. PeartNo. No application to my Department has shown slaughter as the purpose of export of ponies. My inquiries have not so far substantiated previous statements that ponies stated to be exported for breeding and riding are in fact being exported for slaughter.
