The Head Postmaster also maintains close contact with local schools,100W through the Youth Employment Service, and with the Ministry of Labour, and the Post Office has been represented at recent careers conventions. Applicants for postmen's work who call at the Head Post Office are interviewed and tested there—normally the same day—and if successful put into training locally without delay.
