Mr. Bishop

asked the Minister of Technology what was the total value of British aerospace product exports for the year ended 31st August last, with the totals for civil and military exports; and what was the value of exports to each of the countries concerned.

U.K. aerospace exports from 1st September 1966 to 31st August, 1967 amounted to £203.9 million, including £61.9 million in respect of new aircraft (of which £13 million was military) and £10.2 million in respect of guided weapons. No civil/military breakdown is available for aero engines or for parts of aircraft and engines.

A breakdown by countries is not readily available, but an analysis by currency areas, prepared by H.M. Customs and Excise, is given below:
