§ Mr. George ThomasA meeting of senior Commonwealth officials is to be held by invitation of the Kenya Government in Nairobi starting on 24th May. This is in pursuance of a request to the Commonwealth Secretary-General by the Commonwealth Economic Consultative Council at its meeting in London in June, 1966. The meeting will discuss planning techniques, regional co-operation in planning and trade promotion, and the suggestions made by the Commonwealth Secretary-General on Commonwealth assistance programmes at the time of the Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Meeting in 1966. It is not expected that the meeting will discuss Her Majesty's Government's applications to join the European Communities.
