§ Mr. George ThomsonThe four subgroups (on East-West relations, inter-allied relations, general defence policy and relations with other countries) established by the Special Group on the future tasks of the alliance have held a number of meetings and will submit progress reports to the Special Group later this month. Her Majesty's Government are taking an active part in this work. As I informed the hon. Gentleman the Member for Hertfordshire, South-West (Mr. Longden), on 27th February, the Special Group itself will make a first report to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Ministers in June and a final report in December.—[Vol. 742, c.14.]
