§ Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the progress made by the International Civil Aviation Council in its consideration of the Anglo-Spanish dispute about Gibraltar airfield.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe question of the prohibited air zone declared by Spain in the vicinity of Gibraltar was, on our initiative raised in the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation at Montreal on 10th May. The British representative made clear Her Majesty's Government's view that the Spanish declaration infringes the Chicago Convention and should not be put into effect. The Council's consideration of the matter was resumed yesterday.
