§ Sir M. Galpernasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will take steps to compile a list of all private schools not subject to inspection by his Department;
(2) whether he will take steps to ensure that all private schools, not subject to inspection by his department, are conducted by fit and proper persons.
§ Mr. RossAll private schools are subject to inspection by my Department by virtue of the provisions in Part V of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1962, relating to the registration of independent schools.
