§ 75. Sir W. Teelingasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in view of the problems likely to be caused to the sea fishing interests in Sussex and elsewhere on Great Britain joining the 243W European Economic Community, if he will ensure that boats from Belgium, France and Germany will not be allowed to take fish from any part of the United Kingdom's shores and that European fishermen will not be allowed to operate from United Kingdom ports, since, after recent negotiation, British fishery limits have been extended.
§ Mr. PeartWhile I recognise the natural concern of our inshore fishermen about this matter, the European Economic Community has not yet formulated a common fisheries policy or any proposals for a common regime of fishery limits.
