§ Mr. J. Idwal Jonesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the public interest raised by the proposed selling of Snowdon in the near future, he will facilitate grants to enable this national landscape to be acquired by the nation.
§ Mr. CallaghanIn advance of the discussions which are shortly to take place with the relevant organisations, I am not able to say what arrangements will be necessary to preserve Snowdon for the nation. But I can assure my hon. Friend that it is my intention that satisfactory arrangements shall be made.
