HC Deb 09 May 1967 vol 746 c205W
76. Mr. Arthur Pearson

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works how it is intended to proceed with the fulfilment of the new Royal Mint project; whether competitive tenders will be invited for its erection; and by whom the design of the building will be determined.

Mr. Prentice

Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners are being commissioned by my Ministry to prepare designs for buildings for producing the new decimal coinage, and to supervise their erection, for which competitive tenders will be sought. Design proposals will be subject to approval by Her Majesty's Government.
