§ 88. Mr. Whitakerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will invite local authorities to notify him if they appoint a local ombudsman, in order to obtain information 166W relevant to future proposals for an increase in the scope of the Parliamentary Commissioner.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend would certainly be glad to have details from any local authority who adopt this way of dealing with complaints from citizens, and news of the way in which their arrangements work out in practice.
