§ Mr. PrenticeThe windows to rooms in this corridor face west and cannot be opened. The effect of shutting down the air-conditioning system on hot days would be intolerable. The air-conditioning system provides 14 complete changes of air per hour. The temperature is thermostatically controlled and normally maintained at 68°F. with 50 per cent. relative humidity. My engineers in the House (extension 800) are always ready to investigate complaints and make any adjustments to the system found to be necessary.
